Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Lima in the 23rd minute of play forced Bahia E.C's goalkeeper Erik do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bahia E.C's Erik do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Bahia E.C from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Pedrinho Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí de Castro couldn't finish the play. If Pedrinho Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertinho Furtado struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Erik do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olímpico Manaus F.C.. Víktor Leme's late challenge caught a Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Víktor Leme helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Olímpico Manaus F.C. booed when Bahia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Bahia E.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik do Vale should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Bahia E.C's zone, Albertinho Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik do Vale came out of the goal and Albertinho Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Lima in the 84th minute of play forced Bahia E.C's goalkeeper Erik do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 played minutes Bahia E.C got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Schmidt. 88 minutes into the game, Júlio Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olímpico Manaus F.C. the free kick. Júlio Schmidt hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Benê Pinho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Olímpico Manaus F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
