Nelson Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Nelson Tavares made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ramiro Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Lúcio Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Marins SC booed when Mugiwaras AL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Kiko Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franklin Varela was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 36 played minutes Mugiwaras AL FC got a freekick which was hit by Dino Ferraz. Lúcio Abreu struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Marins SC's Franklin Varela got control of the ball when Kiko Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renato Arósio during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marins SC! When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Mugiwaras AL FC's Chicão Munhoz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Franklin Varela. In the 63rd play minute Kiko Costa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Franklin Varela. 1-4. 75 minutes into the match, Lúcio Abreu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Franklin Varela, 1-6. Nelson Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Kiko Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugiwaras AL FC's Lúcio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kiko Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Franklin Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
