Chicão Bittencourt scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio de Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 6 minutes into the match, Horus Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão Bittencourt came free, but Luís Fábio de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Neves in the 8th minute of play forced Horus Sport Club's goalkeeper Luís Fábio de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Horus Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Neves came free, but Luís Fábio de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fábio de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonsinho Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Luís Fábio de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Teixeira in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Álvaro Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute of the match Waldemar Teixeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Fábio de Lara skillfully saved the ball. Luís Fábio de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Rony Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Waldemar Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Waldemar Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Fábio de Lara. Horus Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ryszard Debkowski struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Pedrão Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horus Sport Club. Severino Recife's late challenge caught a Cabeçudo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Recife helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Fábio de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Bittencourt in the 44th minute of the match. Rony Dracena came free in the 46th minute and tried to tip the ball over Pedrão Pontes, but to the joy of Cabeçudo's supporters the ball went over. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rony Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fábio de Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Neves in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Chicão Bittencourt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Fábio de Lara. The goal made the score 0-4. Waldemar Teixeira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luís Fábio de Lara firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Waldemar Teixeira took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Luís Fábio de Lara to make any attempt to save it. Waldemar Teixeira scored 0-6 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio de Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Oséas Alves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Fábio de Lara. Oséas Alves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Severino Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pedrão Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horus Sport Club's Luís Fábio de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Bittencourt in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Horus Sport Club's zone, Chicão Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio de Lara came out of the goal and Chicão Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Waldemar Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Luís Fábio de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Horus Sport Club's Luís Fábio de Lara got control of the ball when Waldemar Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldemar Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Luís Fábio de Lara made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Horus Sport Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! When Rafa Negri fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horus Sport Club's protests and gave Rafa Negri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cabeçudo booed when Horus Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Paulo Meirelles hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Romeu Alcântara succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Horus Sport Club's Luís Fábio de Lara hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-9! Cabeçudo played a much better game than Horus Sport Club and deserved their victory. The Horus Sport Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
