If José Augusto Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Quatinga FC booed when Clube de Regatas Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes Clube de Regatas Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Hoffmann. 25 minutes into the match, Quatinga FC's Váldson Mazza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. When Quatinga FC's Waldir Castro in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cauã Vale was the one to do the kick off. Waldir Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murilo Amaral having to make a save. Waldir Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomás Meira hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Flamengo's Cauã Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafa Baiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Murilo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Felippe Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quatinga FC the free kick. José Augusto Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murilo Amaral having to make a save. Quatinga FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
