The corner led Macaé esporte clube's Júlio Pinho to fire away a dangerous shot which Nelson Tavares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mugiwaras AL FC's Lúcio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Macaé esporte clube booed when Mugiwaras AL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Kiko Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edvaldo Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mugiwaras AL FC's protests and gave Edvaldo Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Edvaldo Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Pinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nelson Tavares. Chicão Munhoz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Chicão Munhoz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Valdo Lara quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eugênio Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Tavares having to interfere. Lúcio Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Kiko Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kiko Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Lara having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Macaé esporte clube got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Pinho. Kiko Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
