The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Armando Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Anhuma FC's Silas Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Faria in the 12th minute of play. Armando Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Anhuma FC's goalkeeper Silas Vasconcelos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silas Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Pinheiro in the 24th minute of play. If Armando Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Armando Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the S&V FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Armando Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Vasconcelos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Anhuma FC's Washington da Silva got a free kick in the 31st minute. Anhuma FC's Silas Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei de Mendonça in the 35th minute of play. S&V FC's Sílvio Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington da Silva in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Anhuma FC's José Pedro Chaves got a free kick in the 38th minute. Armando Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silas Vasconcelos having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of S&V FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Anhuma FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Anhuma FC's José Pedro Chaves got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sílvio Perez.

Armando Pinheiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Silas Vasconcelos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, S&V FC's Armando Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silas Vasconcelos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Armando Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Vasconcelos having to interfere. If Armando Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 59 in the game by Armando Pinheiro from a close distance when the talented Silas Vasconcelos managed to make a qualified save. Anhuma FC's players were relieved. After 62 minutes, José Pedro Chaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anhuma FC and the S&V FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Anhuma FC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Chaves. In the 64th minute, Washington da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 67th minute Pedro Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Armando Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. S&V FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 70 minutes, Armando Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S&V FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Silas Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Anhuma FC's zone, Armando Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Armando Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silas Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by S&V FC's Armando Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Armando Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Armando Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. S&V FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Anhuma FC were victorious despite being under pressure from S&V FC for much of the match.
