The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Vargas couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Ledo SS's Gilmar Toscano got control of the ball when Vitório Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Yugoslavia Legacy's Bruno Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Yugoslavia Legacy from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ledo SS's zone, Marco Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Toscano came out of the goal and Marco Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilmar Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Vargas in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Zé Pedro Ortiz made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Quadros. Yugoslavia Legacy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Marco Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Yugoslavia Legacy players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
