If David Alegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Netto in the 19th minute of play forced Envira's goalkeeper Aloísio Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gencho Karaganev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Galicia EC's Ronaldão Sousa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elói Cavalcante in the 86 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Envira's zone, Ronaldão Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Botelho came out of the goal and Ronaldão Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 91 played minutes Galicia EC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Sousa. After having played for 93 minutes, Gilmar Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Envira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Galicia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Siqueira came free, but Gencho Karaganev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Envira's Aloísio Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Alegren in the 96th minute of play.
