Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zé Pedro Couto kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Super Mengão's goalkeeper Francisco Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Betão de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponciano AD's protests and gave Betão de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Ponciano AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Zé Pedro Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Super Mengão's Francisco Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Tavares in the 11th minute of play. If Gugu Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Geovani Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Super Mengão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani Corrêa couldn't finish the play. If Zé Pedro Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute, Gugu Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ponciano AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Geovani Corrêa 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Francisco Teixeira came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ponciano AD's Zé Pedro Couto. But to his dismay, Zé Pedro Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gugu Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovani Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gugu Tavares succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 54th playminute. Francisco Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Gugu Tavares sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Geovani Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Betão de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ponciano AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Super Mengão's goalkeeper Francisco Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Tavares. Gugu Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Francisco Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Pedro Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Teixeira having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match, Gugu Tavares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Francisco Teixeira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the final whistle sounded Ponciano AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Super Mengão.
