Tony Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Quintal having to interfere. A collision led to NOVORIZONTINO getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jefferson Gonçalves hit a great ball. Tony Paes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cauan Quintal came out and tried to block the shot, but Tony Paes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Kaká Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind BANGÚ LUZIENSE's goalkeeper Ediberto Lira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in NOVORIZONTINO's zone, Diego Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan Quintal came out of the goal and Diego Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Diego Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the BANGÚ LUZIENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Nunes couldn't finish the play. Ediberto Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Lima in the 22nd minute of the match. Kaká Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Lira having to interfere. With a little luck, NOVORIZONTINO's Cauan Quintal got control of the ball when Diego Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tony Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Diego Nunes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cauan Quintal. Diego Nunes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in NOVORIZONTINO's zone, Diego Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan Quintal came out of the goal and Diego Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kaká Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Tony Paes made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, NOVORIZONTINO's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Nunes came free, but Cauan Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauan Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Paes in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Diego Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gualter Limas short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Ediberto Lira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Magalhães in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ediberto Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diego Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inácio Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inácio Pinheiro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Tony Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BANGÚ LUZIENSE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gualter Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, BANGÚ LUZIENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Magalhães came free, but Ediberto Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho Cunha during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in NOVORIZONTINO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Gualter Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the NOVORIZONTINO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BANGÚ LUZIENSE.
