Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emerson Guedes took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Penedia SS's goalkeeper Jefferson Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Lima. If Gualter Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Penedia SS got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Aguiar. In the 25th match minute, Penedia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jefferson Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NOVORIZONTINO. Jefferson Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Magalhães in the 38th minute of play forced Penedia SS's goalkeeper Jefferson Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in NOVORIZONTINO's zone, Emerson Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan Quintal came out of the goal and Emerson Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Emerson Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penedia SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NOVORIZONTINO the free kick. Emerson Guedes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gualter Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jefferson Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Penedia SS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Téo Hoffmann hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes NOVORIZONTINO got a freekick which was hit by Romário Trigo. Gualter Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jefferson Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Cosme having to interfere. Cauan Quintal made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Silas Braga sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, Penedia SS's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Magalhães came free, but Jefferson Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Kaká Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NOVORIZONTINO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Emerson Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cauan Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emerson Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Kaká Magalhães notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Penedia SS's Jefferson Cosme. Jefferson Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. NOVORIZONTINO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
