In the 9th match minute, Teresina GreenCity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Peres to maneuver through the defense. Wilton Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Teresina GreenCity's Yuri de Medeiros. But to his dismay, Yuri de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Aírton de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA 312's protests and gave Aírton de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Teresina GreenCity booed when CA 312 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Valdemar de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teresina GreenCity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdemar de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilton Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The long shot by Inácio Freire in the 48th minute really tested Christian Schmidt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The CA 312 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Teresina GreenCity were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when André Luís Dracena made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Teresina GreenCity got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Peres. After 58 played minutes Teresina GreenCity got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Mangueira. When CA 312's Baltazar Quintal in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 67th minute, Andrézinho Pombal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 67 minutes, Osvaldo Quirino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teresina GreenCity and the CA 312 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Teresina GreenCity booed when CA 312 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Teresina GreenCity's Renan do Valle tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Valdemar de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Pinheiro having to interfere. Osvaldo Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Valdemar de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teresina GreenCity's Yuri de Medeiros in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CA 312's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, CA 312's Wilton Pinheiro got control of the ball when Valdemar de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Teresina GreenCity could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CA 312 throughout the match.
