The supporters of Teresina GreenCity booed when Europe F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Europe F.C.'s José Vítor Loureiro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yuri de Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Pedro Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuri de Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Europe F.C.'s Túlio Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdemar de Moraes scored 1-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Pedro Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Renan do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teresina GreenCity's protests and gave Renan do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Teresina GreenCity:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Europe F.C.:s goal. Teresina GreenCity:s Christian Schmidt showed great skill when he stopped José Vítor Loureiro:s penalty. A collision led to Europe F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Edmílson da Silva hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Túlio Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Schmidt. Teresina GreenCity's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Túlio Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
