Spectators: 6457 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) NOVORIZONTINO's Kaká Magalhães started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Itabapoana's Ramiro Linares got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Cauan Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Novaes in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in NOVORIZONTINO's zone, Marco Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan Quintal came out of the goal and Marco Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Novaes in the 11th minute of play forced NOVORIZONTINO's goalkeeper Cauan Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luiz de Senna hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Lima in the 15th minute of play forced Itabapoana's goalkeeper Vladimir da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Jefferson Gonçalves notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Itabapoana's Vladimir da Silveira. Vladimir da Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladimir da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luiz de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Novaes struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Cauan Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itabapoana. Kaká Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir da Silveira having to interfere. Itabapoana's Vladimir da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Magalhães in the 33rd minute of play. Vladimir da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Lima in the 36th minute of play. A hard shot 38 in the game by Chico da Fonseca from a close distance when the talented Cauan Quintal managed to make a qualified save. NOVORIZONTINO's players were relieved. If Marco Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Itabapoana booed when NOVORIZONTINO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Dalmo Tepedino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cauan Quintal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chico da Fonseca made a kick off. Chico da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Quintal having to interfere. Vladimir da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gualter Lima sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of NOVORIZONTINO booed when Itabapoana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Gualter Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. NOVORIZONTINO's Kaká Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Luiz de Senna hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Marco Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Magalhães in the 75th minute of play forced Itabapoana's goalkeeper Vladimir da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The NOVORIZONTINO fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when NOVORIZONTINO's Kaká Magalhães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With 89 minutes on the clock, Evandro Quintal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Itabapoana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Romário Trigo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ronaldo Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cauan Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauan Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chico da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, NOVORIZONTINO's Kaká Magalhães dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Chants of NOVORIZONTINO echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Itabapoana had held the ball for most of the match.
