Europe F.C.'s Túlio Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inácio Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Leal in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Europe F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Edmílson da Silva hit a great ball. Amadeu Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugênio Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.
