The tension between the Bernardo and the Divisopolis SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bernardo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Belmiro Mineiro hit a great ball. Jonas Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Lúcio Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Divisopolis SC got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Mello. Jânio Coutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Bernardo booed when Divisopolis SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Jânio Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 86th minute, Zeca Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jânio Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Sousa in the 90th minute of the match.
