Laércio Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrézinho Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Fantini having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Diego Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bernardo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paula Tejando FC the free kick. Laércio Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Fantini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Paula Tejando FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Bernardo for much of the match.
