Bambu SS's Elder Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nilton Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Laércio Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laércio Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 16 minutes of play, Bambu SS's Nilton Alagoano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilmar Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Murillo de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chiquinho Pombal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Paula Tejando FC's Andrézinho Tinoco shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Gilmar Soares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilton Alagoano went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Andrézinho Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrézinho Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andrézinho Tinoco hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Paula Tejando FC's Gilmar Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Aparecido in the 32nd minute of play. Mauro Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gilmar Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Soares having to interfere. In the 44th minute Elder Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laércio Sousa was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Passos during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Paula Tejando FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Vitinho Passos hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Bambu SS's Vágner de Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilmar Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Paula Tejando FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Linhares. 62 minutes into the match, Paula Tejando FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Alagoano came free, but Gilmar Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiquinho Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Laércio Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kléberson Linhares hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Rogério Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bambu SS's protests and gave Rogério Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. 75 minutes into the match, Paula Tejando FC's Silvério Botelho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Elder Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guilherme Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Nilton Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Nilton Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilmar Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Bambu SS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vágner de Castro in the 96th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Paula Tejando FC's goalie and right to Jefferson Mello. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Paula Tejando FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
