Helvecia SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Maranhense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luiz Guilherme Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Valle in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Arce got free with Kléberson Santana in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Helvecia SC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Helvecia SC's Hélio Arce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Didi Britto got free with Kléberson Santana in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Maranhense took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Guilherme Oliveira. Luiz Guilherme Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Setubinha SS's zone, Hélio Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Santana came out of the goal and Hélio Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Hélio Arce sped through Setubinha SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kléberson Santana. In the 43rd minute of the match Kauã Pimenta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kléberson Santana skillfully saved the ball. Kauã Pimenta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kléberson Santana. Setubinha SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Setubinha SS's goalkeeper Kléberson Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélio Arce. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Setubinha SS's goalkeeper Kléberson Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

When Cássio Valle came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Setubinha SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Valle couldn't finish the play. Setubinha SS's Kléberson Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Arce in the 56th minute of play. Cristiano Vale's late challenge caught a Setubinha SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Vale helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Vale hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Kléberson Santana came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Helvecia SC's Hélio Arce. But to his dismay, Hélio Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. After 66 minutes of play, Helvecia SC's Hélio Arce made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléberson Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Hélio Arce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléberson Santana was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Zeca Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Santana having to interfere. In the 74th minute Hélio Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play Helvecia SC's Cristiano Vale was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 77 played minutes Helvecia SC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Vale. A hard shot by Naldo Araújo from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Luiz Guilherme Oliveira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Hélio Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helvecia SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kléberson Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Carlos Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Didi Britto in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kléberson Santana saved Setubinha SS from getting behind. When Didi Britto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Helvecia SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi Britto couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Setubinha SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Helvecia SC:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Maranhense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Guilherme Oliveira. That made the score 6-3 in the 96 minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Helvecia SC fully deserved thier win.
