Spectators: 5050 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 50) Almescar SC's Remo Soares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Almescar SC's Basílio de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Almescar SC from getting a goal against them. After 5 minutes, Chico Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC GALÁCTICOS and the Almescar SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes, Almescar SC's Remo Soares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Moreira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almescar SC reached it. Remo Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Moreira having to interfere. Basílio de Sena was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Váldson Batista capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Váldson Batista really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After having played for 13 minutes, Váldson Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC GALÁCTICOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute of the match, Giovani Tavares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Basílio de Sena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 18th minute, Remo Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Guilherme Moreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Prado's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Michel Cardoso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Basílio de Sena. That made the score 3-0 in the 25 minute of play. With 28 minutes on the clock, Jânio Mazza commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 28 minutes into the game, one of SC GALÁCTICOS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Charles Prado put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Guilherme Moreira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Tasso in the 36th minute of play forced SC GALÁCTICOS's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sidnei de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidnei de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC GALÁCTICOS's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC GALÁCTICOS's Luiz Guilherme Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Soares in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Almescar SC booed when SC GALÁCTICOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luiz Guilherme Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovani Tavares made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Remo Soares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Guilherme Moreira. That made the score 3-2 in the 55 minute of play. Eurico Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 65 minutes, Gernando Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC GALÁCTICOS and the Almescar SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC GALÁCTICOS getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gernando Abreu hit a great ball. Charles Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Soares in the 72nd minute of play forced SC GALÁCTICOS's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC GALÁCTICOS's Reginaldo Peres got a free kick in the 77th minute. Almescar SC's Remo Soares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC GALÁCTICOS. If Charles Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Elias Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Soares in the 91st minute of play forced SC GALÁCTICOS's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
