The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Giovani Tavares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pindai's Osvaldo Ramalho. Osvaldo Ramalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 11 minutes of play, SC GALÁCTICOS's Giovani Tavares made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Váldson Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovani Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Pindai's Osvaldo Ramalho got control of the ball when Giovani Tavares tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Dorian Dracena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Guilherme Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC GALÁCTICOS's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Pindai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Matorin to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes SC GALÁCTICOS got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Tavares. 44 minutes into the match, SC GALÁCTICOS's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Saldanha came free, but Luiz Guilherme Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Luiz Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. Jailson Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Luiz Guilherme Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, José Carlos Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pindai's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Guilherme Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos Santana got free with Luiz Guilherme Moreira in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to SC GALÁCTICOS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Michel Cardoso hit a great ball. Sílvio Luiz Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Sílvio Luiz Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
