After 15 minutes of play, Juntalino Stars's Francisco de Moraes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizão Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Augusto Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Quadros in the 26th minute of play forced Juntalino Stars's goalkeeper Jonathan Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, João Augusto Quadros took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jonathan Cardoso to make any attempt to save it. Thomar's supporters rose to their feet, but João Augusto Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Adilson Faria got free with Luizão Nascimento in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If João Augusto Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
