Juntalino Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aílton Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Juntalino Stars booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Juntalino Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Branco came free, but Jonathan Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovani Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The penalty shot was made by Rodolfo Secco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Juntalino Stars's Jonathan Cardoso. 0-1. Jonathan Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Giovani Branco made the kick off in the second half. Giovani Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Cardoso having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Francisco de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juntalino Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64 played minutes Juntalino Stars got a freekick which was hit by Caco Furtado. Borussia Dortmund's Rodolfo Secco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Juntalino Stars. Francisco de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Aílton Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juntalino Stars. Aílton Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Paiva having to interfere. In the 77th minute Francisco de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aílton Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, Borussia Dortmund's Cido Rocha made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Cardoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Cido Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Borussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Rocha couldn't finish the play. Cido Rochas short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Jonathan Cardoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Juntalino Stars supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Borussia Dortmund's performance. The match ended with a win for Borussia Dortmund.
