Thomar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 6 played minutes Almescar SC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Eger. Charles Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luizão Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo Soares's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Charles Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Nascimento having to interfere. In the 19thth minute of the game Charles Prado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thomar's Luizão Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Almescar SC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Elias Eger hit a great ball. Almescar SC's Basílio de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Almescar SC from getting a goal against them. Luizão Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurício Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Basílio de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Augusto Quadros in the 38th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Thomar's Abel Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basílio de Sena. That made the score 2-1 after 42 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

João Augusto Quadros scored 3-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio de Sena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Charles Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luizão Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almescar SC's Basílio de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Quadros in the 70th minute of play.
