Lara Drummond FC's Rômulo Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Valinhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Fantini came free, but Thiago Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Júlio Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Xavier was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eusébio Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Matos in the 11th minute of play. Thiago Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Lucas Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Thiago Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thiago Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes of play, Lara Drummond FC's Rômulo Fantini made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thiago Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Luz in the 19th minute of play. Joaquim Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thiago Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiaguinho Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Eusébio Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Lara Drummond FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Cosme came free, but Eusébio Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Doni Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46thth minute of the game Rômulo Fantini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valinhos FC's Thiago Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lara Drummond FC's zone, Tiaguinho Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Ortiz came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Cosme was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Teodoro Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lara Drummond FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56thth minute of the game Joaquim Cosme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lara Drummond FC's Eusébio Ortiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiaguinho Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eusébio Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Cosme in the 61st minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusébio Ortiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexsandro Dias during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Valinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Dias. 81 minutes into the match, Joaquim Cosme notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lara Drummond FC's Eusébio Ortiz. Eusébio Ortiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Leão got free with Thiago Xavier in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lara Drummond FC's Eusébio Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Cosme in the 87th minute of play. Joaquim Cosme struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Eusébio Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valinhos FC. After 93 played minutes Lara Drummond FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Luz. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lara Drummond FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
