The crowd rose to their feet as Lisandro Rosio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thiago Xavier. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. The supporters of Valinhos FC booed when SE Chambari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hélder Britto fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SE Chambari's protests and gave Hélder Britto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SE Chambari getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hélder Britto hit a great ball. In the 17th minute of the game Tiaguinho Matos made a throw-in which Roger Mota played forward. Thiago Xavier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lisandro Rosio in the 18th minute. Lisandro Rosio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Tiaguinho Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Lisandro Rosio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Nilton de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SE Chambari's protests and gave Nilton de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SE Chambari getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Nilton de Azevedo hit a great ball. Thiago Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Britto was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 47th minute, Hélder Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Roberto Breckenfeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 4-0 came in the 53rd minute when Armandinho Pena all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Thiago Xavier. 69 minutes into the game, SE Chambari's Nilton de Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armandinho Pena in the 75th minute of play forced Valinhos FC's goalkeeper Thiago Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Valinhos FC booed when SE Chambari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Rosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anísio Ceresso hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Armandinho Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Armandinho Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
