In the 4thth minute of the game Sílvio Luís Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salitre's Frank Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frank Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Lago's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. If Donatello Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato da Fonseca's late challenge caught a Salitre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato da Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Le8black getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Renato da Fonseca hit a great ball. Frank Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tiaguinho Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Frank Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Salitre booed when Le8black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball.
