An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Neiva in the 43rd minute of play forced Aracatiara's goalkeeper Ulysses Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 49th minute of the match, Hernani Neiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulysses Alvarenga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernani Neiva made a kick off. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aracatiara's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner led Esporte Clube Bahia's Pedro Esteves to fire away a dangerous shot which Ulysses Alvarenga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Vágner Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Esporte Clube Bahia fans jumped to their feet. When Adilson Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esporte Clube Bahia's protests and gave Adilson Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. Aracatiara's Adhemar Queiroz managed to work through Esporte Clube Bahia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Adhemar Queiroz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 76thth minute of the game Conrado Leal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esporte Clube Bahia's Narciso Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Zé Pedro Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narciso Novaes skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Esporte Clube Bahia getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Adilson Loyola hit a great ball. Narciso Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Leal in the 88th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Esporte Clube Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Carioca. After taking down the ball on Aracatiara's corner Zé Pedro Paiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Narciso Novaes quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Aracatiara booed when Esporte Clube Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 99th minute Aracatiara were awarded a corner. Zé Pedro Paiva went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Esporte Clube Bahia booed when Aracatiara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
