When Sílvio Luiz Brasil came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the S.E.Bergamini - FDFDF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luiz Brasil couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anísio Ceresso during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes SE Chambari got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Ceresso. SE Chambari's Armandinho Pena quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ronaldão Negri, made in the 32nd minute of the game. Lisandro Rosio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Afonso Urbano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, S.E.Bergamini - FDFDF's Valdo Leal got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute, Lisandro Rosio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonso Urbano. The goal made the score 1-0. During the 47th minute of the match Anísio Ceresso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anísio Ceresso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 48th match minute, SE Chambari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luiz Brasil was the one to do the kick off. Armandinho Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Urbano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Armandinho Pena fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SE Chambari's protests and gave Armandinho Pena a yellow card for diving instead. Armandinho Pena hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. SE Chambari's Lisandro Rosio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fred Mattos, made in the 70th minute of the game. Zé Roberto Breckenfeld fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 75th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. S.E.Bergamini - FDFDF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
