Lara Drummond FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bittersweet's Luiz Paulo Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Bittersweet's Fellipe Senna got control of the ball when Júlio Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lara Drummond FC's zone, Fábio Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Ortiz came out of the goal and Fábio Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fábio Velloso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Fábio Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes in the game, Chicão Ramos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eusébio Ortiz having to interfere. The supporters of Lara Drummond FC booed when Bittersweet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Bittersweet's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Lago came free, but Fellipe Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bittersweet had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
