Spectators: 6923 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joaquim Cosme got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute Manfredo Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Valinhos FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Joaquim Cosme hit a great ball. Joaquim Cosmes short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Ulysses Alvarenga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valinhos FC's Thiago Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Queiroz in the 17th minute of play. If Joaquim Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguinho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, André Luiz Valladares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aracatiara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valinhos FC the free kick. André Luiz Valladares hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Adrianinho Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valinhos FC's protests and gave Adrianinho Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aracatiara booed when Valinhos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Tiaguinho Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valinhos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiaguinho Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doni Severo's late challenge caught a Aracatiara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Severo helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Valinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Doni Severo. After a rather tough play, Aracatiara's Conrado Leal got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Queiroz in the 35th minute of play forced Valinhos FC's goalkeeper Thiago Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Tiaguinho Matos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Joaquim Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Alvarenga having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Valinhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Dias came free, but Thiago Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Conrado Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thiago Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thiago Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Leal in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Cosme in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Alvarenga saved Aracatiara from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Paulo Renato Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar Queiroz hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Joaquim Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Alvarenga having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Dias during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Aracatiara got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Dias. Pedro Luiz Zonta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thiago Xavier. Valinhos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Joaquim Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulysses Alvarenga. Aracatiara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquim Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Thiago Xavier was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo Renato Antunes. Umberto Coelho hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Valinhos FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
