With his leg Thiago Xavier managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Bittersweet's Fábio Velloso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Célio Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célio Nascimento hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Fellipe Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Cosme in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bittersweet's Fábio Velloso got a free kick in the 24th minute. Fábio Velloso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thiago Xavier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alexsandro Dias hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Joaquim Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Valinhos FC's zone, Célio Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Xavier came out of the goal and Célio Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Cosme got free with Fellipe Senna in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Célio Nascimento was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Bittersweet getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Célio Nascimento hit a great ball. In the 99th match minute, Valinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bittersweet's Fábio Velloso got a free kick in the 100th minute. Many of Valinhos FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Valinhos FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Bittersweet were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
