Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Massa took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Enéas Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Caxias's Marcelinho Dias got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Caxias's zone, Pedro Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dadá de Barros came out of the goal and Pedro Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agnaldo Sabóia hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Morrinhos SS's Samuca Vides proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Morrinhos SS from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Morrinhos SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Paiva came free, but Samuca Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gernando Paiva made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Frank Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gernando Paiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuca Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Caxias booed when Morrinhos SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Pedro Massa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dadá de Barros. Pedro Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dadá de Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Caxias's Dadá de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Caxias from getting a goal against them. Dadá de Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enéas Trigo in the 91st minute. Samuca Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
