Spectators: 7321 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) Oséias Cavalcante started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Los Hurricanes's Baltazar Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Cavalcante in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horácio Catarinense in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Medeiros saved Marabá PA from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Horácio Catarinense put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Paulo Medeiros. 13 minutes into the game, Oséias Cavalcante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marabá PA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Hurricanes the free kick. Oséias Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Horácio Catarinense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zé Paulo Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Baltazar Mandrak managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Marabá PA's José Paulo Vianna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vivaldo Paranaense hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Oséias Cavalcante was shown his second yellow card after 27 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zé Paulo Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval de Alcântara in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Catarinense in the 32nd minute of play forced Marabá PA's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Hurricanes's Serginho Eger got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Marabá PA's Vivaldo Paranaense seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vivaldo Paranaense the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Marabá PA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vivaldo Paranaense had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Los Hurricanes booed when Marabá PA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Paulo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Eger in the 38th minute of the match. Horácio Catarinense took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Paulo Medeiros. Zé Paulo Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Pedrão do Valle's late challenge caught a Los Hurricanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrão do Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Marabá PA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão do Valle to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Marabá PA getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Edinho Falcão hit a great ball. After the first half Los Hurricanes were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Durval de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Zé Paulo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Serginho Eger sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the game, Los Hurricanes's Horácio Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Paulo Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 65 played minutes Los Hurricanes got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Catarinense. In the 67thth minute of the game Horácio Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marabá PA's Zé Paulo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Marabá PA's goal looked a bit too open when Durval de Alcântara came free, but Zé Paulo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Medeiros having to interfere. Horácio Catarinense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Medeiros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Durval de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 77 minutes into the game, Horácio Catarinense lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Zé Paulo Medeiros. Victor Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Marabá PA getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Guto Macedo hit a great ball. Horácio Catarinense was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Los Hurricanes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Julian Odol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Zé Paulo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Horácio Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Horácio Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Paulo Medeiros was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Costa during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Los Hurricanes getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Victor Costa hit a great ball.
