A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Flávio Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, CFZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. João Vítor Miranda struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Fiori Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CFZ. If João Vítor Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half H Romeu F.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fabiano Paes got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 85th minute Ismael Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Lima in the 96th minute of play forced CFZ's goalkeeper Denílson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The H Romeu F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing H Romeu F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
