The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Fernando de Salles got free with Tião Damião in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Pitta in the 29th minute of play forced Atlhetic Chapacoense's goalkeeper Nicolas Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, jiraya MZC's Otávio Botelho got a free kick in the 31st minute. Carlos Fernando de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Otávio Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Atlhetic Chapacoense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Fernando de Salles in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tião Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. jiraya MZC's Tião Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando de Salles in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in jiraya MZC's zone, Fábio Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Damião came out of the goal and Fábio Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. jiraya MZC's Tião Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando de Salles in the 89th minute of play. Alexandre Prestes made a great header on Atlhetic Chapacoense's corner, it was just that jiraya MZC's Tião Damião managed to reach the ball for a save. 95 minutes into the match, Atlhetic Chapacoense's Carlos Fernando de Salles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tião Damião narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atlhetic Chapacoense walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
