After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Cássio Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leeds Porto-Alegrense's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Tróia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adhemar Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Teodoro Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Jacinto having to make a save. With a little luck, Leeds Porto-Alegrense's Leandro Jacinto got control of the ball when Nuno Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Cássio Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fenix FC's Carlos Eduardo Antunes got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Leeds Porto-Alegrense's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Veloso came free, but Leandro Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Jacinto having to interfere. If Carlos Eduardo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Fenix FC's Nuno Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leandro Jacinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Eduardo Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Veloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Eduardo Antunes took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Jacinto. Leandro Jacinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 60th minute Carlos Eduardo Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Leeds Porto-Alegrense's zone, Nuno Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Jacinto came out of the goal and Nuno Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Antunes in the 69th minute of play forced Leeds Porto-Alegrense's goalkeeper Leandro Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Teodoro Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leeds Porto-Alegrense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 79 minutes on the clock, Luís Fabiano Linhares commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 91st match minute, Fenix FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cássio Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adhemar Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar Silveira made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Teodoro Guerra sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
