Monsanto's Dinei Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Munhoz in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes, Monsanto's Pedro Luiz Batista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Erzan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monsanto reached it. Luís Fabiano Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fabiano Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michel Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Necdet Erzan having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Percival Esteves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monsanto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Impeller FC the free kick. Percival Esteves hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Dinei Bueno made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Teodoro Paulista sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Munhoz in the 25th minute of play forced Monsanto's goalkeeper Dinei Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Walmyr Mello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dinei Bueno skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Monsanto's Percival Esteves got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Teodoro Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Impeller FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinei Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrique Munhoz to make the kick off. The supporters of Monsanto booed when Impeller FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Paulista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinei Bueno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Henrique Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Necdet Erzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Víktor Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute Teodoro Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Bueno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Munhoz went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Inácio Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Henrique Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Monsanto's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Munhoz came free, but Dinei Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
