But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bebeto Mazza couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute Bebeto Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Necdet Erzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yuri de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Impeller FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Tupiniquins's Ismael Toledo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Álvaro Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tupiniquins's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Necdet Erzan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Impeller FC's Luís Fabiano Albuquerque suffered a concussion in the 40th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Tupiniquins's Giovanni Rosa got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Giovanni Rosa off the ground. Silvério Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Necdet Erzan having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Bebeto Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Impeller FC's Ahmet Necdet Erzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Mazza in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tupiniquins's Sidnei Pinheiro got a free kick in the 69th minute. Erivaldo Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebeto Mazza got free with Ahmet Necdet Erzan in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henrique Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Bebeto Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Necdet Erzan having to interfere. A collision led to Tupiniquins getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Raphael Pombal hit a great ball. Ahmet Necdet Erzan made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Bebeto Mazza sent off a good shot on target. Bebeto Mazza was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Tupiniquins's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tupiniquins played a much better game than Impeller FC and deserved their victory. The Impeller FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
