Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Doriva Cosme made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Antunes in the 7th minute of play forced Gramal FC's goalkeeper Mateus Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Gramal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Vaz came free, but Mateus Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Carlos Eduardo Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doriva Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Silveira having to interfere. With 21 minutes on the clock, Álvaro Mazza commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Gramal FC's Álvaro Mazza got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Doriva Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 played minutes Gramal FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Peixoto. When Ramiro Leme came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Gramal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Leme couldn't finish the play. Doriva Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Adhemar Silveira made a huge save. Adhemar Silveira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fausto Tinoco. In the 42nd minute of the game Jean Donato made a throw-in which Abelardo Vaz played forward. 43 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Antunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mateus Mello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 48 minutes, Ramiro Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gramal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Fenix FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Leme during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 58 minutes into the match, Gramal FC's goalkeeper Mateus Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Vaz. Doriva Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Adhemar Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adhemar Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Cosme in the 65th minute of play. Gramal FC's Doriva Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gramal FC's Fausto Tinoco got a free kick in the 69th minute. Carlos Eduardo Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Mateus Mello made a huge save. Doriva Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gramal FC's Luís Eduardo Peixoto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jean Donato, made in the 75th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Giovanni Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenix FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexsandro Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Doriva Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caetano Barral made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Doriva Cosme immediately put the ball in play. Doriva Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Silveira having to interfere. Doriva Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doriva Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
