Arlindo Gomes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Wágner Vargas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salgueiro. The LIGA3 fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when LIGA3's Alfredinho Cavalcante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wágner Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Alan Carioca hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, LIGA3 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. The LIGA3 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wágner Vargas should have stopped the shot. Emerson Arósio came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Célio Sena could save by the left post. Wágner Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Wellington Tasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LIGA3's Wágner Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LIGA3 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
