Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) Carlos Eduardo Furtado made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Rolante's Allan Massa got a free kick in the 10th minute. Palmeiras's Olavo Gerber couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rolante. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rolante's goalkeeper Emerson Peres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. César de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Soares having to interfere. Lucas Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by César de Salles in the 19th minute. If Fernando Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Emerson Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rolante's zone, Francisco Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Peres came out of the goal and Francisco Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rolante getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Carlos Meirelles hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rolante's zone, Francisco Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Peres came out of the goal and Francisco Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when César de Salles got free with Lucas Soares in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Eduardo Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Furtado in the 37th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Lucas Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmeiras's Lucas Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Furtado in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Andrade made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Carlos Eduardo Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Furtado in the 55th minute of play. If Carlos Eduardo Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César de Salles in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Fernando Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Olavo Gerber got a free kick in the 71st minute. Rolante's Carlos Eduardo Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. César de Salles took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Soares. Lucas Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Lucas Soares came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Rolante's Carlos Eduardo Furtado. But to his dismay, Carlos Eduardo Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Andrade in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emerson Peres saved Rolante from getting behind. Rolante's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
