Dênis Romero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilton Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tales Teles in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilton Batista saved Tricolor Futebol Clube from getting behind. Tricolor Futebol Clube's Wilton Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Teles in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Carlos Augusto Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Celso Porto made a precise shot to the right of Wilton Batista. Tricolor Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Dênis Romero came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Tricolor Futebol Clube's Ezequiel do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Ezequiel do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Ezequiel do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tales Teles might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilton Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tales Teles ran back to his position shaking his head. Celso Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Batista having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Porto in the 44th minute of play forced Tricolor Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Wilton Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Teles in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Tricolor Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Porto came free, but Wilton Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso Porto to strike the kick off in the second half. Celso Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Tricolor Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Wilton Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tales Teles. Dito Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dito Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Tricolor Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Motta to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Tricolor Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Porto came free, but Wilton Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Celso Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Barcelona's Celso Porto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilton Batista. Wilton Batista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Tricolor Futebol Clube's Wilton Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Porto in the 83rd minute of play. Barcelona's Dênis Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel do Nascimento in the 91st minute of play. Celso Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Batista having to interfere.
