If Tales Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Barcelona's Dênis Romero got control of the ball when Fred Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arí Lara scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dênis Romero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tales Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Benjamin Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Teles struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Benjamin Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcelona. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Porto made a kick off. Benjamin Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Tales Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tricoloucos FC's Benjamin Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Porto in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Wágner Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dênis Romero. Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Benjamin Brasil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Porto's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After 74th play minutes Celso Porto shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Benjamin Brasil and just under the crossbar into goal. Benjamin Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Porto in the 83rd minute of play. Tales Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benjamin Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barcelona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! Dênis Romero went to the wrong direction when Claudinei Vidal was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
