In the 17th minute Edinho Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, RafaelFC's Edinho Marques made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dênis Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edinho Marques's late challenge caught a Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinho Marques helped the player get up and apologised. Edinho Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Tales Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Godoi having to interfere. Tales Teles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Délio Godoi made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benê Mandrak during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

With an all-out effort, RafaelFC's Dênis Romero threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ademar Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Ian Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RafaelFC's protests and gave Ian Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes RafaelFC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Dantas.
