Tricolor Futebol Clube's Wilton Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Valle in the 15th minute of play. Dito Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dito Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Animal FC booed when Tricolor Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilton Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovanni Valle in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Tricolor Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Wilton Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Leite. Wilton Batista made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Sílvio Luís Leite sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Pirani to make the kick off. A collision led to Animal FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jardel Arruda hit a great ball. When Wesley Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Tricolor Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Trigo couldn't finish the play. Sílvio Luís Leite's late challenge caught a Tricolor Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luís Leite helped the player get up and apologised. Sílvio Luís Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tricolor Futebol Clube's Wilton Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Pirani in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Geovani Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezequiel do Nascimento had several of the Animal FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Rubens Lago as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 71st minute, Dito Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Geovani Soeiro in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tricolor Futebol Clube's Wesley Trigo. After some careless play in the Tricolor Futebol Clube defense, Sílvio Luís Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilton Batista. The Tricolor Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilton Batista should have stopped the shot. Animal FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
