With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltazar Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Waldemar Luz came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Triangulo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Luz couldn't finish the play. Alexsandro Loyola took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baltazar Camargo. Baltazar Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Baltazar Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Vidal in the 26th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Triangulo's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Vidal came free, but Baltazar Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Henrique Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triangulo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baltazar Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredinho Urbano in the 43rd minute of play. Baltazar Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

58 minutes into the match, E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Azevedo came free, but Anísio Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some careless play in the Triangulo defense, Alexsandro Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltazar Camargo. The Triangulo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltazar Camargo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Azevedo in the 71st minute of play forced E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's goalkeeper Anísio Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Waldemar Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Anísio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltazar Camargo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Alexsandro Loyola sent off a good shot on target.
