The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guilherme Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Queirós having to interfere. Vivaldo Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Guilherme Vinhas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Queirós. Vivaldo Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Donatello in the 21st minute of play. Vivaldo Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guilherme Vinhas's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Mansão FC got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Paraense. In the 25thth minute of the game Guilherme Vinhas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mansão FC's Vivaldo Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorginho Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Vivaldo Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Vinhas in the 27th minute of play forced Mansão FC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes Mansão FC got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Paraense. Caveira FC's Vitinho Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35thth minute of the game Guilherme Vinhas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mansão FC's Vivaldo Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gualter Prado scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47thth minute of the game Guilherme Vinhas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mansão FC's Vivaldo Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Caveira FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kiko Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mansão FC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 52nd minute Germano Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Cristóvão das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caveira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mansão FC the free kick. After 53 played minutes Caveira FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão das Neves. Bruninho Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Bruninho Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko Rocha in the 58th minute of play. Guilherme Vinhas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Vivaldo Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Germano Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Alves having to make a save. 70 minutes into the game, Guilherme Vinhas lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Vivaldo Queirós. With a little luck, Mansão FC's Vivaldo Queirós got control of the ball when Guilherme Vinhas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gualter Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Cristóvão das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Caveira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão das Neves couldn't finish the play. Jorginho Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Queirós having to interfere. Guilherme Vinhass short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Vivaldo Queirós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Queirós was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Caveira FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mansão FC.
