In the 11th minute, Richard Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Damião's late challenge caught a Sacramento's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Damião helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Facao AD getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Diogo Damião hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Denílson Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Orlando Bezerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Rubens Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Simão. Sacramento's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Geovanni Borges took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orlando Bezerra. Orlando Bezerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 36 minutes of play, Sacramento's Geovanni Borges made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando Bezerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Paulo Paraibano came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Enrique Simão could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Luiz Fabiano Schmidt could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Enrique Simão however easily saved by the left post. Dudu Pombal hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sacramento getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Dudu Pombal hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Geovanni Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enrique Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Rubens Pinheiro notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Sacramento's Enrique Simão. Enrique Simão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Facao AD's Rubens Pinheiro in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Orlando Bezerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. Geovanni Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dudu Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
