Arthur Cearense hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Fernandão Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Anísio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé de Sousa in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anísio Cordeiro saved E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's zone, Donato Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Cordeiro came out of the goal and Donato Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Donato Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Donato Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Guarapari-ES Esporte Club fans jumped to their feet.
